» DPS Takes Some Time Off... |

Over the last two months, DPS has encountered the same issues as many raiding guilds are facing in World of Warcraft prior to Wrath of the Lich King. With a dwindling raiding base, the retirement or transfer of core members of the guild, lack of solid Tier 6 recruitment not only on Kael'thas but also across the entire server pool as well as the standard "Summer Syndrome," we as a guild have found it difficult to keep up our progression.
Because of the situation at hand, we have decided as a guild over the last few weeks to cut our losses rather than fumble over farmed content, re-gear new recruits from Tier 5 gear, and generally frustrate ourselves to the point of tears over what appears to be a cycle across World of Warcraft as a whole. With this in mind, many of our members have decided to take a break from the game until Wrath of the Lich King, others have decided to retire their raiding days until then and "go casual" or level alts and enjoy PvP and 10 mans, while others are being assisted in finding existing raiding guilds on other servers so that they can finish their goal of seeing Kil'Jaden die before the new expansion.
It's been a blast, and we salute all former and current members of DPS who have helped us get this far, and wish we could have gotten further than we did. Our goal as a guild as it stands is to go our separate ways depending on our own personal goals and eventually regroup when the new expansion comes out to start anew on our raiding journey together.
